During my last week at the Ecolodge, I did some work for Indochina Sails, a company that runs cruises in Ha Long Bay. I was sent on a two-day trip in exchange for a few blogs they could share on their website. This was much difference than the previously booked party cruise I accidentally books months before. It was mostly middle-aged couples. My favorite part, besides a free night in Ha Long , was running into a former UNL professor! We talked about Nebraska and traveling, and I taught her partner how to photograph inside a cave without flash. The Bay is foggy and mysterious in the winter. Still beautiful.
When I got back from Ha Long I had two days before I left for Laos. I focused on writing the blogs and moving out of my house. I left my belongs with Shelby and started a month of backpacking.
