Day Trip to Ninh Binh

I’ve mentioned Snowy once before. She is our friend that works in a hostel and helped us book our trips around north Vietnam. She had mentioned that if we planned a trip to Ninh Binh, she would take off work to join us. Only an hour south of Hanoi, we kept this as a short day trip. We visited some temples and biked through the rice paddies surrounded by mountains before taking a short boat trip along the river. It was simple and fun, the trail and river were completely engulfed by the mountains and again, I could have just stayed there and stared in awe.
